The role and features of fiber optic jumper patch cable

Fiber optic patch cord is the fiber cable directly connected with the desktop computer or device,used as jumper cable to link and manage  facilitate device. Patch cable have the thick layer for protection itself, usually used in the connection between the optical transmission system and the terminal box.

Classification of fiber jumpers

Fiber jumper depended on transmission media can be divided into common silicon-based single-mode, multimode fiber jumpers, as well as other transmission medium such as the plastic optical fiber jumper; According to connector structure can be divided into: FC jumpers, SC jumper, ST jumpers, LC jumpers, MTRJ jumpers, MPO jumper, MU jumper, SMA jumper, FDDI jumper, E2000 jumper, DIN4 jumper, D4 jumper and other a variety of form. Single-mode Fiber:the fiber jumper cabe is yellow, connector and protective cover is blue ; the transmission distance is longer generally.

Multi-mode Fiber:The fiber jumper cabe is in orange,  and some in gray ,connector and protective cover is cream-colored or black ; the transmission distance is shorter .
