Xenpak ,x2 optical modules

Xenpak module is connected via 70pin SFP connector andcircuit board, the data channel XAUI interface; Xenpak support allIEEE 802.3ae-defined optical interface, the line side can provide10.3 Gb / s, 9.95 Gb / s or 4 × 3.125 Gb / s rate.
Xenpak transceiver module  is packaged in a 4.8 × 1.4 × 0.7 cubicinches of space, built-in 310 nm semiconductor distributed feedback (DFB) laser, direct modulation mode, built-in temperaturecontrol device. The Xenpak G.652 single-mode fiber transmission distance can reach 10 km, suitable for application in themetropolitan area, is the mainstream product of the current 10G Ethernet port. In addition to the photoelectric part of the multiplexing/ demultiplexing module (MUX / DEMUX) is the the Xenpak internal another important feature the Xenpak more than 50% of power is the multiplexing / demultiplexing module consumed, so Xenpak lightlarger module size, power consumption is also large.

The difference between single-and multimode
